At Marna Physio, we understand the importance of running as a physical activity and the joy it brings to your life. Our dedicated team is committed to helping you overcome running-related injuries, improving your movement, reducing pain, and minimising the risk of future injuries. Our team of physios are often running along the surf coast trails and attending the local park run events!

Come in for a running assessment!

Whether you a striving for a couch to 5km program or you've been inspired to complete a marathon our team at Marna Physio will support you every step of the way.

When you visit Marna Physio for a running assessment, our experienced Physiotherapists will perform a comprehensive evaluation of your running technique and program. They will analyse your entire body’s movement patterns, assess your biomechanics, muscle strength, and joint mobility, taking into account your personal history and goals. By integrating these factors, we can provide you with valuable recommendations that will help you move better and run more efficiently, reducing the risk of injuries.

To ensure a thorough assessment, we kindly ask you to bring the following items:

  1. Your running shoes - Please bring all the pairs you typically use, including any orthotics or inserts you wear.

  2. Wear your usual running attire - Opt for close-fitting clothing to facilitate the assessment process.

Based on our findings, we may suggest basic modifications to your running technique, provide advice on managing your running load, and offer recommendations for follow-up sessions focused on refining your technique. We may also make individualised strengthening programs to complement your running program or incorporate recovery strategies such as hydrotherapy or yoga type sessions.

We understand that achieving optimal outcomes may require a combination of Manual Therapy (hands-on treatment) and exercise. As part of our commitment to your holistic improvement, we maintain open communication with local running coaches, podiatrists, orthopaedic specialists, and/or personal trainers, collaborating to ensure the best possible outcomes for you.

Contact us today to schedule your running assessment and take the first step towards achieving your running goals!
