Deb Friend
Physiotherapist

About
With a passion for exercise, nutrition and helping others, Deb was drawn to a career in the health industry. Originally from Queensland, Deb moved to Victoria in 2007 after graduating from the University of Queensland in Brisbane with a Masters in Physiotherapy.
When not in the clinic, Deb is helping her husband with several hospitality venues along the Surfcoast, chasing two young kids around, or in the gym, training hard as an avid Cross-fitter.
Experience
Upon completing her degree at the University of Queensland, Deb moved to the Geelong region to commence her career in physiotherapy. Deb spent her initial few years as a physiotherapist in a private practice and private hospital, specialising in orthopaedics. Deb’s career led her to London where she gained extensive practical experience, working in the heart of the city, focusing on musculoskeletal injuries.
In recent years, Deb has undergone further study and is now recognised as a Clinical Nutritionist. Deb combines her years of experience as a physiotherapist with her knowledge of nutrition, to treat her patients with a holistic approach, considering all aspects of health.

How I can help you
In the clinic, Deb provides an empathetic and holistic approach, combining manual therapy techniques with self-management strategies. Deb’s aim is to provide her patients with the knowledge and understanding of their condition, along with a treatment plan, so they have the confidence to take control of their injuries. Deb enjoys getting in the pool with her patients, prescribing hydrotherapy programs, while also assisting them in the clinic to reach their health-related goals.
